Welcome to the night.

Where I work there are bats, possums, racoons, foxes and the occasional coyote outside.
No giant spiders, thankfully.

I get lot of those spiders in my house, or at least, I used to. When I first moved in I also found their lair:

I think those are called grass spiders, or common house spider. They're not venomous. Clicky for even bigger pic. Check out the eyes on that!

We get lot of spiders too at work and they seem to come out at night when I'm working night shifts. They like to hang out in the cable vault and battery room. It's kinda funny walking by over 9000 amps worth of DC power and my biggest fear is running into a spider web. :p I have a phobia of spider webs, but yet the spiders don't really bother me.

Yeah, that looks like a type of wolf spider, but just the gangly type with big legs and a tiny body. :)
They've started showing up at work, too.

This was the sort I saw back at my parents house when I was a kid - a larger, huskier body, and nice big fangs. (The "unidentified wolf spider (Lycosidae) Bottomland forest in Jones Co., NC 21 Oct 2007," a bit more than halfway down the page)

looks like spider lairs in Skyrim.

These are the kind of spiders that flat out freak me the most, even though their not aggressive, they cause my brain to produce the finest, purist fear chemicals known to man.
