Working on a Saturday is just evil.....

I've only been here an hour and I already want to leave. Stupid me for being a nice guy and helping a coworker out. Time to listen to some music and nef away. Anyone else working today?

I'm a network support tech for a large library system. We just purchased a large batch of Dells. (80) Currently working on setting up an image for em.

That sounds easy and even a little fun. But then again, I sat in the same place for 12 hours yesterday at work (though I did go out for a nice lunch and post office run).

Yeah I have to in about 45 minutes but there isn't a single thing to do, I'll probably just stand around and talk to coworkers the whole day. At least it's payday today 🙂

well...considering I'll spend about 30 minutes finalizing and deploying my configs to the AP's, I'll be spending most of my time waiting on other people to do their job.

One of the jobs I'll be waiting on is for the local desktop support folks to reconfigure about 200 wireless devices (RF ScanGuns) which will take many hours. :-(

i've been working every saturday for the last two months, save the two weekends i had vacation time and was out of town.

it sucks, and i come in at 7am so i can leave earlier, but in the long run, my OT checks have been great.

If you get pay OP, then it is not so bad. If you are on salary, then you are SOL......lol

<<<------ used to work long hours and salaried...it sucked big time.

i'm working 10a-7p, @ the local circuit city.

i don't remember the last time i had a saturday off... it is the busiest day of the week for us - i am one of two PC techs there.

so quit complaining, at least you don't have to deal with customers. especially pissed off customers.

I'm working 9am till 6 pm... still better than my 9-7 weekday hours... Workin 60 hours a week for peanuts sucks.

Oh yeah. I'm hourly. The coworker even gave me an extra $20 for working today. Shortly after posting I found several things to work on and time seems to be flying by. Of course everything moves faster with some good music. A bonus of being the one one in the office. 😉

I know how you feel dude. I'm working 12-8 today at Subway. Customers are unrelenting on the weekends :frown:

Quit your whining. I'm doing a file server replacment and 7 new machines in an office that is an hour drive from home, then taking the old server to another office that is another 1 hour drive and fixing an issue with the hub. Probably won't get home until midnight. 😛

Does your imaging software support mass imaging? We typically use our PowerQuest software with a boot floppy for single installs, but there is the option to setup a server that can push out the image to a huge list of machines at the same time.

ugh, I'm here at work on a saturday. Trying to figure out why my damn web servers won't reinstall. One says the hard drives is damaged, the other wont freaking find the hard drives. this is during the w2k3E install. this is pissing me off

We use the multicast feature with Norton Ghost. Boot off a CD and then connect to the server (or in my case the laptop) and away you go.
