Working on a car audio amp

clamum

Lifer
I think there's a loose connection or something on my amplifier that powers the subwoofer I have in my car. It wouldn't turn on before and when I wiggled the RCA connector on it, it would come on. Now it doesn't come on when I wiggle it. I've checked all the wires and fuses and whatnot and I've come to the conclusion that it must be the amplifier.

Has anyone taken apart an amp?

It will void your warranty, and you probably won't figure out what's wrong with it. I'd just send it in to be repaired/replaced.

I bought it from a friend used... Not sure if it's still under the warranty or not. I'll probably end up having to buy a new amp.
