Ugh. Haven't posted on here for a while, but I'm stumped.

Father lets me know that the "video card on his PC isn't working" (monitor is saying it's not receiving a signal). He leaves it on 24/7, all he does is use the internet, outlook, and MS office. He said he came back to it after using it a few hours before and had no signal.

I turn it on, and I don't even get anything that would indicate it's posting at all. Don't hear or see any HD activity. Everything is firmly connected (re-set video card and memory just to be sure). All fans seem to be in working order. Disconnected all disk drives (with no other optional components), still no signal being sent to the monitor or posting of any sort.

I'm really not in the mood to haul my computer over there and rip it apart and start swapping to check (especially since mine has been working perfectly for 2 months straight, knock on wood). Any ideas on what the problem could be? CPU? Something I can check without swapping in a part that works?

Almost all parts are only about a year old.

NF7-S
AthlonXP 2100+
512MB Crucial DDR2100
Geforce4MX 64MB

Nothing in PCI slots except NIC
1 HD, 2 CD-ROMS.

Thanks.
