Working late.

Last Saturday I put in a 12 hour night, didn't get home until 7am. Came back in Sunday afternoon to finish a few things.

Friday night and I'm in one of my remote offices, 7:30pm here and probably won't leave until 8. Won't get home until 9:30pm.

Pity me.

I don't mind putting in long and late hours, as long as it is for something satisfying like transfering data and services from an old file server to a brand new fully loaded server (last weekend).

It is not as fun when staying late comes from setting up a laptop with a refurbished board, with a chipset that happens to not match the Images you copied over the day before, not knowing this until after the image fails, then having to start from scratch with a fresh XP install, and download all the drivers from dell, and most the software has to be loaded across a T1 that runs like molasses, then your Office CDs keep stopping because the cdrom is barely reading them through all the scratches, etc.

Oh well. This office stocks up on cupcakes and soda. There goes my diet!
