We've been working 16 hours a day or more and I'm starting to like her A LOT. When we first started working together she seemed standoffish to me and the other guys, but she's been more friendly lately.. It's kind of unavoidable when you're working on a team like this, but I think she really has a thing for me. A while back she started complaining to me about how all her husband wants to do is cuddle, and makes her feel bad about working such long hours. We really love our work though, and are very dedicated, so I can't understand why he's such a jerk. She only talks to me about this stuff, probably because the others are 300lb nerds and wouldn't understand relationships. She's always rolling her eyes to me when they discuss things like whether .99999 is the same as 1 or whether Starbuck should have been a man. I roll my eyes back, and I think this is where our connection started.
We've been having coffee at a shop down the street at a place called Capitol City Brewing. I've offered to pay every time. The first time she refused, saying that it's not a date, but the second and third times she accepted. While we're having our coffee, she always looks intently into my eyes and the last time she commented on how beautiful they are. I should have probably said something about her being beautiful but I was speechless. On the way back to work she said she was chilly and pressed up against me, so I put my arm around her and she smiled.
Now I think this is pretty strong indication that she likes me. It's been a few days since that happened and I've been kind of awkward. I think she senses that and feels like she made a mistake. I don't want her to think that so I'm thinking I should make my move NOW before it's too late. Also, she said something about a new job. I don't want to lose her. What should I do?

Obvious Shens just from that line alone.

EDIT: Bah, beat to it!

I'd ask her "Can I put my hard drive in your open 3 1/2 inch slot? I scan it quarterly with my anti-virus so you won't get infected."

Hey, I'm the OP of the parodied thread and I give this a 11/10!

There's some serious creativity going on here.

Agreed.

Assuming this is NOT a parody.....are you a moron trying to hook up with a married chick?!

The way you worded it, she definitely is looking to hook up. And if indeed you get lucky, you're committing adultery. And her adultering ways will stick with her if you do indeed establish a relationship. She'll end up hurting you eventually (as she did her husband). If you think you're special, you're naive.

Stay away. Stay honorable you jackhole.

The "whether 99999 is the same as 1 or whether Starbuck should have been a man" line is what got me.

NEVER ask out or date anyone you work with. It's a loose/loose situation. Get her fired, THEN ask her out.
