Working concession at Raven's game this weekend.

My rugby team raises money for the club by getting players to volunteer their time working concession at Raven's games. I volunteered this weekend.

Hopefully, it will be a good experience.

How does that raise money for your club? You keep the concession sales money??

A percentage yes. I will be finding more details this weekend, because a friend wants to know more for his rowing club.

My old rugby team used to run a local bingo for an evening. We supplied people to sell all bingo cards, stamps, concessions, etc...

The only "employee" of the bingo hall was the MC (he pulled the bingo balls and made the announcements), everyone else was supplied by the rugby team. If you can believe it, this became an acquired skill. Bingo players can be quite temperamental and would get mad if you took too long getting them cards or if you got in their way when they were playing.

It was cool though because we got to pay out all the winners. The winners would sometimes give back tips to the person who paid them out.

The largest payout I ever made was $10,000 cash.
