I got this email from this company that I interned for over the summer this morning..
My situation is that I'm graduating in June and am currently looking through our campus to find something for post-graduation in which I will have moved back home. I haven't found anything yet and there's a chance that I won't have anything set by then either.
In the long term I really don't want to work for this company and feel I can find something better..but at the same time I don't know how long that would take and it'd be nice to have an income and something to do rather than just bum around all day. What's even better is that I plan on being in Europe until about mid-late July and I'm not sure how active the job seekers will be then.
However my intentions would still be to look for jobs in another area/company so that would mean going to interviews and what not. My old company seems to have an understanding of this and they even state they're okay with me just working for 1/2 months. How that would work I'm not really sure as I'd probably be assigned to a new position and to be able to learn my new tasks and do them would leave me little time to be productive to them.
Cliff's:
*I'm graduating in June, looking for job
*Company from summer wants me to come back, even for 1/2 months..but I don't see anything long term with them
*Should I accept and job seek while with them, or be unemployed and look that way?
Hi Tien,
I hope this note finds you well!
We were just talking about you in the Marketing/Web area so I thought I'd send a note to find out what you're up to. When do you graduate & what do your plans look like when you do? And...is there anyway I could convince you to work for MetricTest - even if it's just for a month or two? We will do everything we can to make it worth your while, including $$. Leslie is promising many ping-pong games. He says he'll even let you win one. Generous, isn't he?!
In any case, I hope you have a terrific holiday Tien!
