Workers who get bonuses, when do you get them?

Just curious what does that timeline look like for you between the end of year and when you get your bonus/salary adjustment? Previous employers I got a bonus around Christmas and then salary adjustment in January. My current job any bonuses for Jan-December of the previous year are distributed in February, and compensation adjustments happen in March and are not retroactive to Jan 1.

Current company, quarterly bonuses paid usually 6-8wk after quarter close. Annual adjustment usually mid March to April.

Precious company, annual bonus paid out usually in March. Same timeline for annual adjustments.

Both companies the fiscal year followed the calendar year.

Very long time ago when we used to get bonuses, it was around Christmas time. Our union screwed us over of that though. They told the company they felt it was not fair that not every department got the same bonus because it was a % of our salary, so the company just took them out entirely. Now everyone gets the same. $0.

I was handed a paper check at the company Christmas party tonight. That is typical here. One really good year we got an extra week's pay in the later summer, completely unexpected.
