Was adding a rotation setup for the shear on this tonka today... It will completely eat through a 200ft barge in 1 day (reduce it to scrap)... Was told the people that own this monster want an even larger one with a bigger shear... Get to fire this one up tomorrow and do some pressure test and play with it & tear up some stuff (love my job)...

BTW that is my 4500 Duramax service truck which is not small by no means...

Interior is very nice and super comfortable all come with cold AC, AM/FM stereo some with CD/DVD players as well oh and all have a sunroof ... Shame this one only has the older LCD screen as the new ones have the large 8" TFT screens and tons more options to work with...

As for turning it should turn on a dime as most do (find out tomorrow)... There is a simple operation where you put either the bucket or as in this case the shear on the ground and bear down and while using the travel levers to turn you also swing the upper structure and it will turn like crazy... The grouser pads are triple's and do not bite all that much...

Oh its around 700HP and around 2500ftlbs torque... It weighs about 320,000lbs with the shear on it... Sad to say but top speed is 2.0mph...:p

Yeah but you don't need to go fast, you can just take the tree with you while you pick up the other car in it's pincer. :awe:

I've got some shear and concrete cruncher time, believe me you are lucky to just be testing it out. Nice rig though. Bigger is better and smoother, and there aren't many larger than that.
