Workaround for 9500->9700 softmod artifacts in lighting situation?

I have been using the softmod Omega Drivers 9500-->9700 softmod for a while now. When I tried it out, it seemed to work fine without any artifacts in jedi knight 2, midnight club 2, and madden 03. After a while, I got to more advanced games and artifacts started showing up in advanced light reflection situations. For example, in Max Payne 2, anytime I go under a tube light or other light and it tries to simulate a reflection off of his coat, it just looks like a buch of colored in squares. Another example, in midnight club 2, I noticed that the only time these same patches show up is when the headlights are beamed onto a surface. Was barely noticeable. Anybody know how I can fix this or do a workaround?

that could just be a hardware prob....when u 9500--->9700 u activate the remaining 4 pipes, but on a 9500 theyre deactivated and as they wont be used it dont matter if theyre, faulty.

so u could have 4 perfect pipes and 4 with imperfections which is maybes why its not calcualting stuff right

dammit! And I thought I had gotten a softmoddable 9500! These artifacts still only show up in advanced lighting situations! One game that I have had absolutely 0 artifacts in: Jedi Knight 2. Oh well, it was good while it lasted, I guess I can always switch between the drivers. BTW, if anybody can still find some sort of workaround it would be good.
