All the Engineers have very fast systems, obviously they require them oh nice shiny LCD monitors.

Anyways Tech support is slowing getting new computers only (no new monitors) but of course it?s by Seniority and damn I?m way down the line 6 or 7.

They got down to about number 3 on the list.

I have a very crappy system 500 MHz, 20 gig hard drive, 196 ram.

Same thing at my job. All the engineers and BAs have the latest and greatest. QA is running PIIs (me) and PIIIs (everyone else in the group). I was lucky enough to stumble across two 128MB sticks of PC100 RAM cleaning out my office the other day and stuck them into my work PC since it only had 128MB. Couldn't get IT to do anything. It runs better but it is still a dog when I try to do any intensive application testing.

We've requested new PCs several times already and keep getting told they are coming. But c'mon, QA is the last group to see the apps and are always crunched with time. You'd think they'd help us out with speedier PCs.
