work related favortism, and a whole bunch of other work related B.S.

ok guys, i need your advice, once again. basically what im writing today is about my job that ive been working at for the past three months. i got a job doing retail sales. basically the guy who got me the job, a friend ill call tom, was recently demoted to a lower position then he already had because of claims that he stole deposits that he was supposed to deposit into our bank. first of all, who in their right mind keeps an employee that steals a deposit? shouldnt he be fired by now? ok ill get back to that later. anyways, he is no longer a manager at our store. now they are searching for a new manager. two people are applying for the position. one is a relative of one of the already managers at our company. the other person is a neighbor of the manager/relative who is applying for the position. isnt there something illegal about doing this? i call favortism to the fullest. today is the last day to send in your/my resume for this position. i think im going to send it in tonight. anyways, on to the story. i feel that is super duper favortism if this person who is a a brother/sister to one of the managers who work here.

what do you advise about this, and what can be done if she is hired?
