@Work Planning to FRAG and cant. PLease HELP!

So Im here at work and loaded up some Counter Strike and all Updates and it seems I cant connect because of the Firewall. Is there any way I can get through the firewall to play?

This will make my day go by so much faster....please Give me Hope!

Probably not, they are most likely blocking that particular type of traffic, or it's not in the small number of holes.

And if you ever did, you'd probably get canned if you were discovered. Is it worth it?

Lots of online games use UDP for transport instead of TCP. Its generally good firewall policy to limit UDP to only DNS queries.

If I remember Half-life used UDP ports 27015 or something like that. Either way you need to ask you IT departement really nicely if you can play games, open up the hole.

Or if you happen to be the one in charge of firewall and network security policy you simple create a rule called "network test" that contains outbound ports 27000-29000.
