Work Log - Corsair Vengeance C70 Build and Mod

Hey All, I just joined here, happy new year!

This thread is just for me to post my work log for anyone who is interested in this sort of thing

If anyone wants some information on the clear window mod for the Vengeance C70, please post here, i have a great contact for the UK who will make them at £15 a pop inc delivery.

The C70 is a brilliant case, but i disliked the stock window due to it having air holes for two fans in it and it blocks the view! I managed to contact a company on ebay and they sent me a piece of Clear Acrylic cut to size, all i had to do was drill the holes and mount!

Case Cooling:

CPU Cooler - Prolimatech Megahalems + 2 Corsair SP120's (Push / Pull)
2x BitFenix 120mm Spectre for front intake
1x BitFenix 120mm Spectre in position of HDD Cage
2x Prolimatech 140mm Vortex Blue Wings as top exhaust fans
1x Akasa 120mm Viper for rear exhaust

All fans hooked upto a BitFenix Hydra Pro

Nice case. I think there's more clearance at the top of the Corsair C70 compared to my Corsair 400R. Wish mine had more clearance up top to fit my radiator and fans inside the case. I did the optical drive mod a very long time ago. Back then, I thought it would look cool and had no prior reference to the idea.

Nice job! I like how you replaced the window with a solid piece (that was my one real complaint about the Corsair C70 when it came out). I also like how you "Stealthed" your optical drive. Both modifications make this a very aesthetically pleasing build.
