do a google search for "Cubicle Warfare" it was a popular book about office politics several years ago. I seem to recall a fan site/forum. Maybe its still around.
 
You know, you might *try* asking here. Depending on the crowd (ask during "work" hours) you may get several good replies.
 
ihow do you make your work more visible to your boss.
what do you do if the two top guys are clashing and you ahve to make e your work visible to both boses, when you report back to boss #2 but it is boss #1 who does the final appraisals.
