I'd rather have an i3 10100 or such than a 3200-3400G tbh. Bad value at those prices. ($195 for a 4C/4T 3200G is bleh).

11100F is like $95, 4C/8T with higher clocks and performance than the 3000G lineup. If you don't game, the mediocre IGP on the APU is kind of a waste anyway. Get a $30 2GB Quadro K420, and you have dual digital outputs and it will run anything 2d you can think of. Have a few lawyers with those that multitask like mad with pairs of 1440p displays.

Or look for a regular 11100 and just use the Intel HD with a Mobo that has an HDMI and Display port output for dual display. Cheaper and faster than the 3200-3400 outside of gaming on the IGP.

A Zen3 APU would be even better, but they're still not available, and they announced prices STARTING at $260, so forget that lol.

Unfortunately, due to all the budget CPUs being way, way over-priced still, building a "budget" PC is just not budget.

You described a PC that basically doesn't need a CPU hardly at all, so a dual core would do it, just something that drives two monitors and has snappy memory and SSD. The CPU and GPU/APU portion would do next to nothing. You could go a few steps down on CPU and go literal yesteryear or get something used and be fine. Instead, put that money into fast memory, lots of it, and SSD. It will do more for your use than a more powerful CPU will and an APU will do literally nothing (and they're way over-priced).

You look at these $200~250 CPUs that are totally budget APU's and yet a Ryzen 5600x is available right now, no special hassle, for $299 on Amazon and its not out of stock, etc. Huge performance gap. Yet it would be pretty much not even noticeable for your purpose likely. Just pointing out that budget costs nearly as much as good tier equipment due to funky market.

Be very mindful that the motherboard you select actually works with various APUs. Check their support list and BIOS requirement (even if you think it should work fine due to chipset, check anyways). APU support is the weirdest support, flat out, with AMD.

Have you considered a pre-built? Sadly they're cheaper than building the same thing yourself due to stupid market with budget CPU/APU.

Very best,
