work blocked mozilla?

i've had mozilla running for several months... i can open 5 browser windows without cluttering my task bar and it seems to take up less memory per window. i fire it up this morning and get "page cannot be displayed." fire up IE, the internet is down. come back up 30 seconds later (the proxy likes to do that). go back to mozilla... nothing. check my proxy settings, those are right. delete my proxy password, hit reload... nothing. the proxy-password prompt doesn't even pop up. bastards.
