oblivion, doom, fate, presence, imperative, eternal, yield, fiendish,forfeit, excrutiating (is that the right spelling?), agony, torment, forsaken etc. Ofc I don't know the English language very well, but I often see these words used when the writer wants to depict a desperate situation and wants you to get emotionally involved.

But the best paired words unquestionably are "incoming wormhole" 🙂
