I've played Quake 2 off and on for 6+ years now, and I recall when I first saw someone saying "woot", and I thought it sounded pretty lame. Then the word just caught on apparently beyond the Quake community (who knows where it originated) and I saw it being used more and more. Then finally it clicks with me and I use it occasionally.
Anyway, you get the idea. What are some words or phrases such as the above that you refused to use at first, and deemed them lame, then wtf, a little while down the road you're using them.
