Word to the employees of Walmart

Bateluer

Lifer
When I ask if they have a widescreen version of a movie, don't tell me the fullscreen is just as good. :|

Finally got him to go into the back and find a widescreen version, but I was still angered. So naturally, I come to ATOT to fume.

You shop at walmart? BAN

The guy makes minimum wage...you expect him to care about your WS needs?

BTW, I'd be on his case to get a WS DVD too...but I wouldn't fume about it.

I work electronics at K-mart, so I kinda know how the guy feels, but still, I don't try to say that WS is better than full screen or vice versa. I just state the facts and let the customer decide. Hey, no skin off my back, its not like I get commision or anything...

Get over it. Anybody that works at walmart has never owned a WS tv in his life so how the heck would he be able to appreciate the difference?
<Bateluer>boo hoo. Walmart employees inconvenienced me! sob!</Bateluer>

Our Walmart is starting to stock full screen only. If its not in a huge display at the front of the store, its pretty much always full screen.

They had some good prices on the new Jaws DVD and even had it before the release date, but no widescreen.

Probably the simple few words that he sent your way were an attempt on his part to have an easier shift at work. Probably 50% of the time he says something like that the customer(s) go ahead and accept the substitute that he offers. Why can't you just relax? You spent 5 seconds on simply telling him that you definitely only want the widescreen. You probably spent more time today digging in your asscrack. It would appear to me that you are carrying around a lot of repression. ... Maybe I am wrong. Maybe you are just very, very poor with even the most minor of conflict. Either way, I recomend that you do NOTseek out employment in the field of retail sales. Your inability to de-center is among the worst I've encountered.

Another things that bugs me is when I (rarely) go into one of the local computer parts shops. When I go there for parts, it's because I need them Right Now(tm).

Invariably, one local store *coughpcclubcomputers*cough* never has the part I need in stock, even though their website indicates they should have it, and the person working there offers to order it for me. Duh, if I had the time to order it, NewEgg would get my business. 🙂

I'd just say I was buying it for someone who insists on widescreen. Why argue with a wal-mart employee? Might as well try to convince a dog about the finer points of bipedalism. Opting out makes things quicker, friendlier & less stressful.

That probably sounds good to 99% of all humans. I, myself, try to find a way that is not lying. I would just say that I am only interested in the widescreen version. If the employee at that point would try to talk me out of it, I would simply tell him that my mind is set. A walmart employee that would try to still talk you into the fullscreen would be very rare.

I HAD TO RETURN A MOVIE ONCE BECAUSE IT WAS BROKEN, THERE WERE BLACK BARS AT THE TOP AND BOTTOM HOW CAN THEY BE SO STUPID TO MAKE A MOVIE LIKE THAT I MADE THEM GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK OK.

haha at least they offer to order it. My PCClub doesn't even do that sometimes. Their web's site "in stock" is about as accurate as a blind NFL Ref. And sometimes when they do offer to order it, I get the "it might not be in the wearhouse, and take an extra 2 days to order"

gotta love Pc Club.

If you shop at Walmart you deserve everything you get.

Good prices and a wide assortment of namebrand goods?

Why yes, I deserve everything I expect from a discount store.

Wal-Mart hate is so mindless.
