We had a driver update on our work PCs last week, and I've been having problems with MS Word since then are really annoying. Basically everything runs really slowly in it, typing scrolling or even just going through menus it seems to react seconds after I do anything. I've tried a few things, forcing word to use the better onboard graphics on my laptop, turning hardware acceleration for desktop apps (it was off by default) but nothing has made a difference.
Weird thing it has no problems when I plug in my monitor, it's only when I'm using the laptop display only that it does this. It's somewhat intermittent too, when I started working this morning it was running fine but then at some point decided to slow down again. Not sure what else I can try at this point but it's getting pretty annoying as I have a bunch of documentation to finish and I usually work from home when I'm doing that but it's really annoying with Word running like this.
My laptop is a Dell Precision 7760 so it's not like it's a weaker system or anything, definitely shouldnt have any problem running Word.
