Word problems

Hi...i was reinstalling my windows and forgot to copy my documents...
Since my sister has 1 very important file there, i found that file with recovery tool but when i open it, i got message: "Select the encoding that makes your document readable."
And in list there is no1 encoding which doesnt show bunch of squares and some weird signs...

Can i fix that document somehow to be normal readable?

If I am understanding you correctly, you got the file recovered using a tool and now when you open it in word; you get that message. However, it doesn't matter which format you choose it doesn't display correctly right?

If that is all true, it basically means you were only able to recover a portion of the file and your SOL.

Yea, but i found some free versions...i'm scanning now with stellar phoenix windows data recovery, found it over torrents and program that recover that file is undelete i think...
