I have a PC running Windows XP Pro with SP2, Microsoft Office XP SBE also.
Outlook XP is used for email, and it's linked to Microsoft Word which is it's default email editor.
Here's the problem.... If an attachment is to be added, and you try browsing the hard drive to find it, outlook and the word editor freezes if you click on the drop down box to browse for a file.
Funny thing though, if you click on the icons to the left of the box, such as Desktop, My Documents, Favourites, My Network Places, etc... you can browse the drive just fine without any hanging. It only happens with that drop down box.
The same happens if i'm in MS Word and trying to open a document for editing.
I've tried a detect and repair, as well as a reinstallation, without success.
Any ideas?
