Hiya all...

I've browsed the topics and read the posts but I couldnt find an answer to my question...

My college works with Office 2007 and Ive got a few assignments that I have brought home to work on. The only problem is that they are .docx files.

Is there any way for me to open them in OpenOffice so that I can finish my work? I've tried renamed the file extension to .rar as well as .zip and unzipped, but I was still unable to open my work....

Any help/advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for that nace186.
But when I get the email and click the file, I get the following message:
Not Found
The requested URL /converted/1205510310-469/Ass3Fit.doc was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I've tried it with Firefox, Opera and IE and end up with the same message.
Any idea why?

Okay, so I've paid for my stupidity... I decided to google it, no idea why I didnt try it first. Lol. Anyways, I was having problems with "Docx-Converter.com" so I tried "http://www.zamzar.com/" and had no problem at all converted to .doc and opening with OpenOffice AND it managed to keep font settings as well table sizes and colours. Thanks for the help nace186.

Hopefully this will help other people out with similar problems!
