Word 2007 Acting Funny

I'm having trouble with my Word auto-minimizing.

For a background, I use a web-based program for work, and lately when I have gone to open a report, it opens in Word nice and maximized, but minimizes itself within about 1-2 seconds after opening. I've spent some time Google-ing the problem with no luck what-so-ever. I wouldn't mind going to the taskbar and maximizing Word...if I wasn't having to print dozens upon dozens of these reports per day. Any ideas?

The computer is Windows XP SP3, using IE8 (just updated from 7 in hopes of a solution), and Word 2007.

Any help will be VERY much appreciated, thanks!

If you have any keyboard or mouse software loading I would try uninstalling it. I have seen KB software and Dell quickset have a bad interaction with power point before.

Verify that your documents don't have a macro (VBA) script running. Also check your normal.dot which can also contain macros. After checking this and making sure you have no macros, start MS Word in safe mode by adding the safe switch.

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office 12\WINWORD.exe /safe
