Word 2002, comments, and too much info

I would appreciate anyone who could help me put Word 2002 in its place. I am a professor who grades papers electronically. I give my feedback to the students via the comments section. I just got Word 2002 after using Word 2000 for 3 years. The problem is Word 2002 automatically inserts the date/time stamp on each of the comments. I do not want the students to know how long it is taken me to grade their papers, or have them worry about how little/how much time I take on their papers. That is too much information for them. It can also cause problems since they may make some incorrect assumptions about time and challenge their grade based on the hour I am grading and not on the content of my critique! Can anyone tell me how to take away from the program this awful invasion of privacy? Thanks in advance.

There is a setting for turning this off.

How about converting them to pdf's that can't be tampered with?

Where is the setting for turning this off? I've tried everything I could (with my limited abilities). I would appreciate any help.

I don't know if there's a way, but you can try sending an email to Woody (of Woody's Office Portal) who probably knows as much about Microsoft Office as anyone. His email for questions is here.
