I got my 350w power supply into my old gateway case last night. It took some dremel tool work and drilling some mounting holes but it fit in real nice.

What I want to do next is add a extra case fan but I am not sure which one to order.I want it to fit into the factory mounting spot that my case has for a extra fan.Right now it has a block off plate on it.Is there a fan that will bolt right into this spot?

Here are the pics(they are in the computer pics album)

Also,I just bought a AMD athlon 1600 XP processor. It looks a bit different(others seem to have a black/blue lettered chip in the middle) than some of the pics I have seen of other XP chips. The pics of it are in my netsnapshot album. Is the reason it looks a bit different because it is OEM compared to retail?

As soon as I get my board next week I will put the rest of this stuff in.

Thanks for any info

CPU..just the latest production..they went from brown..to green As far as case fan looks 80mm will fit if you have one (old PSUs usually a good place to look) for mockup ...check the holes on case against holes on fan

I really love gateway cases 🙂 The current ones are designed so well. I would rather buy a gateway case than any other case 🙂

Gateway cases are cool 🙂 They're 100% tool free; even the mobo can be put in without using screws 🙂 Installing PCI and AGP cards is so easy with that thumb screw thingamabob! And installing drives into the cage can't be easier 😀
