You're an anes tech?

Stay in the OR, it's ugly everywhere else. I'm considering going permanent & getting OR experience for the last 10 years or so of my career...

yes, i've been in the OR for 3 years this month. i doubt i work the floor. i have an ortho surgeon wanting me to work for him when i grad. but it will interfere with my transition(i'm in lvn prog right now).

i'm just ready to make double of what i've made the past few years. not sure what i'll get into once i grad. i'll prob just work my ass off trying to make as much as i can while i have no other obligations(kids, etc.);)

i love the OR but it's the people i work with that drive me off. not saying that won't be anywhere else:p

As long as you're in the prof, definitely keep on going with school.

Be careful working for doctors, they have a really bad habit of paying their staff shit wages and bennies.

$2,000 a week for a contractor is pretty decent in California, assuming that it also comes with vacation and benefits. If not... it's probably just average due to cost of living out there.
