Any ATOTers going to be at Six Flags in Massachautes this weekend? I went a couple of years ago, but the Superman ride was closed :( This time it better be open or someone is going to get hurt :p Has anyone gone this year?

^Bump

Just got home a couple of hours ago.... got to the park around 10:20, and went straight to Superman.... the wait was an amazing 30 minutes or so.... the ride was just incrediable and was worth the 3 year wait :p As we were about to leave we had to go again, and it began to rain. Rain hurts at 77mph! We then hit MindEraser, the new Batman and all the other major ones. Although the place was PACKED, the waits were nothing compared to last time I went. We had a great time, they have defintily cleaned up there act over the past couple of years. Thumbs up to Six Flags New England.

Saturday will be packed. The park is too small for the crowds they get there on weekends and they are slow at loading trains.

Otherwise, have a great time!

But I'm guessing it's worse on the weekends. That's why i haven't gone to any theme parks this summer...can't get off work and don't want to go on the weekends.

Lets hope it lightly rains or at least its overcast that day.... does that have any impact on the crowds? It was pretty crowded last time I went :(

Everyone waits until the gates open. And when they do, they all start running toward the ride they want to go on first. So run.

The new Batman ride is okay. It is short but has most of the typical elements you would see on B&M. The last corkscrew does have some head banging which is not typical of B&Ms.

Get to superman as soon as you can because once that line fills up, you could be waiting up to 3 hours to get on. Batman will tend to thin out later in the day.

The #1 rule of ever going to an amusement park is DO NOT GO ON A SATURDAY. It is pointless to go to most parks on a Saturday because you physically can not ride anything.

Yeah that was sort of out of my control.... my cousin wanted us to go and was willing to drive us...plus his wifes brother drove from OH just to be able to go with us. I am thinking of making a 14 hour road trip back to Ohio in a couple of weeks to go to Cedar Point, while my brother looks at OSU. Oh well, it will be fun anyway.

Go to Cedar Point. Go now. Seriously, you will love it compared to any Six Flags. If you can go during the week of Aug 25th, the lines should be short and you should be able to ride everything in one day. I went in May and hit every coaster in 6 hours and still had time to spare.

Yeah its just the trip from VT to OH that is killer.... last time we drove out that for just a weekend, just to go to the OSU football celebration and we got traped in upstate NY for about 4 hours, drving in circles :p If I can get my car situation taken car of, Cedar Point here we come. I also have to check out OSU, because if my brother gets in, the whole family will be moving, which means that either I transfer, or live here myself. That new Top fuel dragster is just insane.

Batman was a great ride also... Superman has to take cake though... espically when its soaking wet at 80 mph! The Cyclone was ghetto as f*ck and made all kinds of wierd noises. Its fun when you think the train is going to go off the track.
