There's a redemption code in the back of the RB2 booklet. Go to the Rock Band site to redeem it, then you'll get this email with a new code to download the songs.

Does the code auto-download all 20 songs? I don't really want all 20, I'd like to just pick a couple.

Will these songs work with the RB1 disc as DLC or only with the RB2 disc?

It's just more DLC - and all DLC is compatible between the two games. So yea, it will work with a RB1 disc. Though if you only have RB1, you wouldn't have the code to download them for free - you'd have to pay whatever they're going to charge for them - I'd guess a buck each.

The code automatically downloads all 20. I read somewhere that they're rolling them out over 24 hours and the PS3 codes are going to be delayed a day or two.

downloading my songs as I write this - I did not expect any major bands for bonus material and actually like to discover new music. And when the price is right, it's a double win.

Some of those chick songs are kinda catchy.
For free, you can't complain really.

So I downloaded it - assuming I would be able to delete songs I didn't want like you can when you export songs from RB1. Nope - they don't list them individually - just one big 500 MB chunk. That's balls. Oh well.

I donwloaded these last night, prequel to the sequel by BTBAM is by far the best song on rockband now (imo of course lol). I love the whole cd I was so happy they put the song on there. Everything is fun as hell to play on it since their members are ridiculously amazing at what they do. I kept playing it over and over last night... I'd recommend everyone try it out at least, it's really hard but well worth it, great song (the entire album is amazing actually).

Holy crap, I just checked it out on youtube. Totally not expecting the singer to kick in like that. How can that be remotely fun to sing in Rock Band?

Guitar and drum parts are interesting, though.

That prequel song is awesome except I don't like vocals like that. The hardest song on drums now I think. I'm gnna check out more from this band.

The bass is really sweet too heh.

About the vocals, luckily in rock band screaming vocals are all just spoken word (hence the tier 1 rating lol). I personally like the singing, but I listen to a lot of metal so I'm used to hearing it more I guess.

Anyway I'd recommend this whole cd for anyone who liked the song. The album is called Colors and flows so well that it seems like one long 64 minute song. The live version of the album is really good as well, but I'd recommend the actual cd first personally. They have 5 cd's total, the self named BTBAM, The Silent Circus, Alaska, The Anatomy Of (Cover Album), and Colors. Alaska and Silent Circus have more heavy songs on them imo, but they're both amazing albums still. Colors is my fav tho i'd recommend to anyone who liked Prequel to the Sequel at all.

Edit: The version of P 2 the S on rock band isn't even the full song, they shaved about 3 minutes off of it, I guess it would kinda be a marathon if it was the full 9 minutes but it's still sweet to be able to play most of it.
