Fx-53 skt. 939
Asus A8V deluxe Wi-Fi mobo
1 Gig of OCZ 3700EB
X800xt
S.B. Audigy 2 zs platinum pro
160Gb Seagate SATA HDD
Enermax 470W noisetaker

It's gonna be a monster, I've been dreaming of building something like this for years.

Ahhh lol and why wouldn't you dream of something like that :p that is my dream machine hehe. I have an x800 pro and i LOVE it, wow! my only regret is not having the money to buy a better processor. An athlon 64 would really hit the spot right about now :p

Well I don't want to wait for all this preorder business. $30 clams above retail is not that bad. I have all this hardware staring me in the face and I was waiting on this. I was thinking of just getting a 3400+ but then I was just like "meh" and went nuts as you can see, this beast will be lasting me for a long while however.

Well you have to sacrifice when you are running on an fx5200. Seriously that thing was barely faster than the TNT2 I had before it. My TNT2 could run allied assault at 800x600 decent. And the fx5200 could do a decent job at 1024x768. Its absolutely pathetic haha.

Considering that the MSRP is $499.99 and the card is extremely rare right now, the price he got it for is great.

Yeah you might save a little money with CompUSA, but good luck on obtaining the card anytime soon. Congrats admiral, enjoy the card. (We have almost identical systems.)

About those raptors, do you think they honestly make a big difference worth the price premium? I was considering them but I decided against them for now.

I'm not running them in a RAID, but as single drives they are pretty fast. Worth the money? Well,. if you have the extra cash to spend, then why not? Might as well put the fastest HD in your fast PC. :p You should probably get the newer 74 gig models.. mine are the first raptors that came out. The new ones are supposedly a little faster.

I don't have THAT ;) much money to play around with. But really my funds are pretty much depleted :(. But i'll definitely be happy with all this stuff for a long time to come. I was desparate to be able to play doom 3 on that magical august 4th when I pick my preorder up.

Plus tax, and who knows when you will get it. Also, that link for CompUSA is no more.

I have almost 10% tax here, so for $533 is a little under than what I would get, if it were on the shelves around here.

That's interesting. I was just on their website and saw no X800XTs at ANY price.

More ATI value, General?

I'm happy for you. Do not listen to these guys that tell you paid to much. If YOU think it is worth it that is all that matters. You are justifying the price that you paid through Economics 101 they are using stictly Accounting 101. Economics adds individual satisfaction into the equation. Enough school'n.......have fun and Enjoy your new toy:))))))))))

Thank you very much haha if im going to spend $450 dollars to buy it, what is another 80 to get it a month early. Maybe ill give you a peak of one of the ram chips with its heatsink off ;) which might have to be done cause im watercooling the card.
