Specs are:

Intel Core Duo processor T2500, 1 GB,100.0 GB/5400 rpm, CD-RW/DVD-ROM Combo, 15.0-inch TFT 1400 X 1050 FlexView display, Intel 945PM, ATI Mobility Radeon X1400128MB, six-cell battery, Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG, Bluetooth wireless

Total cost was ~$1990 shipped, with CA tax.

The 15" SXGA+ FlexView is one of the best LCD panels out there; awesome viewing angle, great colors, and plenty bright.

Decent price, but you need the 9-cell, hands down; unless you won't be using it on battery much ;)

loaded but with a 6-cell battery? i'd go for a slower CPU and trade it for a 7200rpm hard drive and a larger battery.

whats the diff between that and the z60? I setup a few z60s at work and they were amazing

I believe the T series is somewhat slimmer (physically) but loses several features such as firewire. It is a more "work-only" machine.

I bought a dell e1705: t2500, 512mb, 7900gs, 17" wuxga truelife, 80gb, 9 cell, etc for $1200. sure, it's a dell, but do i get a cookie too??

with 2.0ghz and 1.5gig ram, 100gig 7500rpm, dvd burner, wifi, 9 cell battery, 15" screen and the 128 mb ati card.... no warrenty added... $1700...

Personally, I would definitely add on a warranty for an expensive laptop. The LCD alone could cost several hundred dollars to replace.
