Is this a joke? I was expecting to read in there "please send us your credit card information and social security number so we can give you your free money!"

I love those contests that I win without entering. I never forget to leave the $300 in unmarked bills underneath the streetlight where the guy is to meet me with my winnings. I know one of these days, he *really* is going to show up.

Why don't I just get a keg this weekend..... Everyone can come to Scar's place.....but you can't sleep in my room. You'll have to crash on the futon, floor, or sleep in your car.

lol, i got something similar to this a few months ago. got a letter that said i won some british lottery (i live in the US) and they needed tasx info. They also provided a check for like $4000.

well, i look at the name of the lottery company and then the name of the company on the check. its from some construction company in Ohio or something. So I go online and look up the web address in the letter - nothing. search for the company name - nothing. search for the construction company name - legit. call the company and speak to one of their accountants or something. "yeah, you're like the 5th person to call us about this."

so i gave her my info and emailed scans of the letter, check, and such. haven't heard anything about it since. ripped up the letters, check and all and threw it out.

and i stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night

With whom, Moshy?????

I filled out a healthcare survey via e-mail (work in the healthcare/IT field) and thought nothing of it. A few weeks later I was told I won $1500 amex gift card. sure enough, yesterday I received some AMEX travelers check gift cards in the amount of $1500.

Not everything is a scam....

A year or two ago I won a Seagate SATA drive (hundred and some gigs) for signing up for some newsletter. I don't ever remember getting the actual newletter, but the drive arrived overnight.
