are you restricted on the size you can get because of the small trailer you live in?

Get something of a reasonable size so you can save some $$$, and put the remainder to buying a hi-def DVD player. Might as well enjoy the movies at the best possible detail! ;) :D

Don't rush into it too quickly - do some research. That's the fun part :) Also, don't buy from Best Buy.

Oh, and check out Fatwallet. They usually track good deals, and see if they can point you to a good TV that is or will be on sale :)

where? what model? etc etc.

Samsung 61" 1080P

It was a great deal at $1699, became a smoking hot deal when the price dropped to $1499 online before it went OOS.

I bought my TV locally only because they were willing to negotiate. Otherwise I probably would have ordered through Amazon.com

I wish I had waited. For the same price I paid I could have a nice Samsung 1080p DLP :(

Your TV was banged around a Chinese factory, scooted around a container ship, trucked across several ZIP codes, carted around a warehouse, loaded/unloaded at every step by minimum wage employees.

I don't understand why people think a shipping company is the first time their item has been handled outside the factory. If shipping companies were so horrible that it began to affect a retailer's bottom line, they wouldn't be around for long.

well IF UPS,FEDEX or DHL can't deliver a $20 package without it getting pretty banged up i worry about a $2k TV.
