Woot, I did some volunteer work today!

I volunteered with my bro's work place (USDA forest service) along with our local Macy's to run a program called "Making Spirits Bright", which helps give an early x-mas to needy kids/families.



I feel special.



Anyone else volunteered for something similiar?

I've been doing volunteer work pretty much all summer and fall and winter. Special Olympics was fun; our group made the bagged lunches for the kids.

i carved turkey for the homeless on Turkey day

community service is pretty fun if you get to do cool projects. I recently did one of the KQED events where i answered phones.

 

Hmmm...I never knew the US Forest Service was under the USDA. I always thought it was part of the Department of the Interior.

I do community service work every now and then but now I'm doing more of the management of it rather than the actual work.
