That thing in link is 20% of semester average.

What about you? What have you got to do before semester is over!

3rd semester i took college algebra to pad my gpa, never went to class, just turned in HW based on what was posted on the web, showed up for tests, 3 credit hours w/ a 4.0 to pad my gpa ftw!

Me too, but I hope someday to be able to understand it.

OP, I don't have any math classes this semester, but I have a couple of final essays you can write since you have so much spare time...:p

I hate those online math homework programs.

Why?!?! I loved it. I might be missing it next semester (Finite Math with Applications)

Although I hate our buggy "WebCT" - some Blackboard clone or something, I don't really know what it is: http://webct.hccs.edu, but that shit is ghey - loses work, sometimes tests don't work. OR maybe my instructor screws it up ;)

Yes - the reason I am doing so well is that I already learned all that and more in my regular (non-AP) Pre-Calculus class my Senior year in HS.
Since I didn't take any math AP classes and didn't bother with credit-by-exam, I am taking this...good idea to review the basics 100th time ;)

hey didn't mean to poop on your thread, everyone is "smart" in different areas, just because math comes easy for me doesn't mean i should dog on ya cuz it isn't easy for you, i'm sure you're WAY better at something than I am, remember it takes all kinds. Reminds me of when i used to work for lawyers, they were the DUMBEST "smart people" i ever knew

I love blackboard...

I had to retake my remedial math, 106, last semester, but I'm almost finished with College Algebra...if I make a B on this exam, I believe I am exempt from the final...I've made an A, B, & A on the other exams...It's tomorrow...Then next semester I have social statistics (gets that gen ed stat out of the way, and it counts for my anthropology major requirement...sweet!)

your school let you do that? Most schools would not let you take a low level class like that once you started calc (and if they did, the credits wouldnt count).

I can't believe I ever took college algebra over stats. I thought it'd be easier since I took algebra in middle school, but that was a big mistake. I've got no motivation to do anything except read the current issue of SI in that class and when we get to stuff I don't remember I'm fux0red. We've got an exam tomorrow and I think I remember most of the stuff so I hope I do okay on it and the final.

 College Algebra

Yeah, typical of people that think "I know all this shit" only to get burned on new (forgotten) material.
I'm taking stats too. Some day. It will be like this:
Finite Math - Plane Trigonometry - Precalculus - Calculus I - ??????? - Calculus II - Stats

Yeah I was an idiot. I could've either worked to learn new material or worked to remember old shit from years ago. Naturally I chose the latter path without thinking about it.
