so we're sintering some ceramics for research and i have to "babysit" the hot press - make sure no catastrophic events occur. just checked the timer - only 3:33 left on the run! woot woot!

was iron originally in your sample or was it introduced from an external source? i'm not sure about iron, but i know magnesium and aluminum are very difficult if you use a combination of high temperature/pressure + vacuum
