My wife played softball.........
She was a outfielder though. Seems like most of the rug munching happens near home plate.
Nice. I reffed travel games ages U10-U40 (I am only 20 btw) and U10-U16 is not worth the extra money to be center ref, with all the b!tching and such. I always wanted (but didn't get) line for those ones. Being center for a U40 game, I made $40, $30 for line.
Yeah, I hate it because most of the time their kid is so bad. I just want to tell them off so much. btw, do/did you play

My first varsity boys center game sucked. It was at a small little christian school (these fans were definetely not practicing wha tthey preach). Stupid people didnt even know the rules of soccer. They were going crazy over things they had no understanding of. The game got very aggressive and I ended up having to yellow card 3 players
Thats a great game to start off at.

thats nothing, when you have to eject parents from a game is when it gets interesting, that is definitly not fun, i had someone actually punch me because i was kicking them out for being a total nutjob, i cancled that game and just went home and then filed a reporrt, i dont think he was allowed at games again for a few years

yelling like a madman at his kid/all the kids, i think he was drunk, was swearing at me/otherfans/players, refused to calm down when asked nicely by myself and others, when i told him that he could either leave or the team his kid was on would forfit the game he took a swing at me

damn, i used to line for 18(believe it was U10-U16) a game a few years ago. eff center, escpeially when it's a big game and the parents are out of control.
i play in a mexican league on sundays now and let me tell you, it's nuts. the ref gets $10 from every player and i think they deserve it. i think i've been in one game where the teams didn't end up fighting. i love the aggressiveness in the league but i'm also a minority out there so i keep my calm.

Damn. I prob. would have just gone to the home teams coach and said 'Listen, either you remove that fan or Im ending the game right here."
I second that.There was a girl from my HS that was really cute and smart, soccer player too. She ended up studying law at UT. Still really cute, too. Sigh. Oh well.
