i just had my tax returns done. I am getting almost 8 grand back.

the bad news is i was dumb enough to claim very few dependants all year and gave the government a huge amount of interest free $.

and paid Amex and visa dearly :(.

You're getting Eight Thousand Dollars back? Your gross income must be six figures...do you need a friend?

That's exactly what I was thinking.

Seriously though, I too pay dearly when it comes to taxes. :( I guess I should regret for being single and having no kids or dependents? :D XClan, divorce your distrustful wife and come marry me, please? :Q LOL! I'm kidding. ;)

He may not necessarily be making a lot. I received 6K back a couple of years ago because I claimed zero deductions while I had a house, wife and one kid. I get around $2800 back just from mortgage interest and if you don't account for wife, children, and mortgage in your deductions you overpay Uncle Sam.

No way! You're kidding. Single and 1 all year? You're kidding! How could you give the government interest free money? Go listen to Clark Howard for better tips! ;) He talked about the concept of giving the governmet interest free loan about two days ago. It's a no-no.

I'm just pulling your legs. Don't worry about marrying me to relieve me of the taxes. ;) I know I'll be getting some money back too.
