You know, looking back I am damn glad my parents didn't spoil me with consoles. You have a ps/2, xbox and GC and just bought ~$400 in games for them and I bet you won't play half of them for more than a week.

Well my son is 7 and he has a XBOX, Gamecube, Gameboy SP, and a PS2 and he's not spoiled. And yes this has been discussed before. He is Slim not fat, He'd rather play outside and run than video games, and he is top of his class. Last report card he got ALL "E's" Plus he is in the GIFTED program.
Plus I've spent over $300 this year for presents for him. We only have one child so we can afford it.
Exactly its not like I play the games 24/7 just whenever its a rainy afternoon and I have nothing to do, or if I call some friends over and we just hang and play some games, most of the time I'm busy with school and basketball. Im a little fat now (225 lbs) but its not that bad cause i'm 6'3". And I am far from spoiled, we are 4 siblings (2 boys 2 girls) I'm the second oldest (have an older sister) and basically we werent always able to afford high priced items, I remember back when I was in middle school, my mom (a single parent) was struggling to make ends meet, now since I was in grade 12, things have been looking better, she has a good job and we can enjoy it now. She has been working hard and her motto is that you only live once, and whats the point to keep saving and saving we all die someday, so why not enjoy it while were here? (she does save but not soo much were it cripples our purchasing power)

10 video games in one day isn't for "a rainy afternoon". That's just ridiculous. Unless you live in Seattle, you won't have enough rainy afternoons in the year to play through all of those.

I am an only child. I'm 6'2" 150lbs and have always been like this, so I'd call myself slim too. When I was in elementary school I can't remember a time I didn't get all E's, it was difficult not to.
My point is that I was (apparently) in the same situation, and looking back I would consider myself spoiled if I'd had more than 1 console.
