i finally figured out how to set up my wifi router and got my compact flash adapter to work with my axim. im now posting wireless. sorry just thought id share 🙂
 
im loving it, not use to such a small display but I'll get use to it. now i want a wireless notebook 😀 hehe

rofl, yah. i pick up about 5 wireless networks at home. i went to NYC for the weekend and had wireless wherever i went. went shopping on 5th ave w/ my g/f and while she shopped i just sat down and surfed on my comp. gotta love NYC - it was priceless.

I think unprotected networks like that are giving more access than those places where wireless access is provided, were they called "Hotspots" or something? They should create a program using everyone's wireless stuff to give internet access to those roaming... of course, then very few would actually pay for internet usage....
 
I've got a linksys wcf12 802.11b wifi adapter on my Dell Axim X5 400mhz. It has Pocket PC 2003 and Linksys does not support it officialy so I had to get some beta drivers, Took forever to get it setup properly and yeah my wifi is wide open but my neighbors are old and don't have a computer. Until I figure out how to setup some sort of security i will disable the router at night or when i'm away.
