Reality is starting to set in for me.

Today I got my acceptance letter to the college I'm going to.

I graduate high school in 2 months.

It all seems so real now.

QFTMFT!

College is sooo much more awesome than the real world.

except when you have a shit-ton of responsibility during college

I can't wait to graduate. And be surrounded by ever-so-slightly more mature people.

Then again, the largest public universities don't tend to showcase maturity. ;)

Don't get me wrong, I loved the environment of school and being able to get away with things that you were basically expected to do :D, I seriously cannot wait until June.

Well... maybe next September.
Graduate in June... but next May I start 4 months of training, so I probably won't have a completely stable, living-on-my-own experience until I come back from training.

College living gets a little old. I felt bad for all the parents while I watched kids get horrifically wasted and do terrible in school.

The money and general feeling of worth at a job is so much better than school.

Can you just put your hand on your crotch and check if you actually have a pair of bollocks? I can't be sure.

Hmm, this is the first time I have ever seen/heard someone use bollocks to mean balls. I always heard it used as "nonsense", had to look it up. :p

Prepare to be disappointed.

That's why I used the phrase "ever-so-slightly".

My experiences made me equate college to "high school v2"... is the post-school world slightly more mature than high school?

I hope so. If not, then I guess I will be disappointed. :D

It can mean either. Some examples of usage:

1 - "I don't believe you, you're talking bollocks"

2 - "...and that's when she moved on to my bollocks..."

depends where you work, My gf works with lots of young business people, and man, it's high school 1.5. Not even 2.0. I work with lots of young engineers (myself included). It's not high school 2.0, but the older people get pissed at us a lot because they think our work ethic is not the same.
