Just got called from my manager telling me that one of the other managers at my store gave notice. The store is going to have to reshuffle and I am to be part of that reshuffling. Tomorrow morning I go in for some hard core training for the Retail Operations Advisor. I get paid $12.50 plus sales commissions I make. So far this month I've notched about $2000 or so of commissions to if I add that to my hourly I'm making some decent money.

Hooray for me!

***UPDATE***
Turns out the guy who was supposed to shift up a spot from Retail Operations Advisor to Retail Sales Leader doesnt want the job so I leapfrogged that position and am not the Sales Leader!! Helloooooo salary + bonus!!

Congrats man...my old store kicked ass until they closed it with this last round of closings....our lease was up and they want to move it so they closed us. My new store sucks but i still have my Technician job.

and my job.........still sucks. hehe, jp, congrats! how much commission do you make per sell?

The percentages vary per product sold. But since I will be the store sales manager, customer interaction in the sales process is not one of my main duties anymore.

Good news and congrats!

On the other side, I been reduced $15K salary from a contracting position to a perm position. In return I do get benefits. Three weeks of vacation + one week of personal days and medical coverage. Not sure if I should be happy or sad.

Anyway, it's good to hear some good news.
