Yes, I want to try a mammoth burger and I want fresh meat, not some 50,000 year aged ice mammoth.

Also, I bet mammoth fur would work great for lining of cold weather wear.

I voted unsure, but I can see this develop where we start grabbing DNA from all life, and when things go extinct, we'll just resurrect them. However, where do we draw the line, and we start collecting DNA from people?

Since the ice caps are melting and all this global warming stuff going on, do we want to bring back an elephant with a fur coat on? He might be really pissed off at how warm it is and step on everybody.....

It would be cool, but really it's just a bigger elephant with hair right? Wake me up when we get to the dinosaur cloning.

How long until they bulk farm them for their fur?

Don't forget about their tusks. They have bigger tusks than elephants, and they are fairly valuable. People in Siberia look for their remains to sell their tusks.

Sure, why not? They reproduce slowly, so there's really no way they get out of control. Just set up a preserve on the edge of the Canadian Tundra somewhere, and see how they roam.

Maybe while we are at it we can figure out how to keep the African Phunts we already have alive too
