If any of you remember, last month I was told my job was being outsourced to India and I had till the end of October. Then it was extended until the end of the year. Then last week I was told that I had 2 weeks left on my contract. Needless to say worrying about my job has been weighing pretty heavily on me. During all that time, I received help from here on my resume, started the applying process.

Just got a call today and I got the job that I applied for a month ago as Data Security Analyst for a local mortgage firm. 2k a year increase, 30days off a year, full benefits, woohoo!!! I know myspace is -----> etc, but I am happy, esp with how hard it is to get a job in the financial corp world at this time of the year.

edit: 99% is because the internal recruiter told me he is not supposed to say anything, but its good news and he is just waiting on the signatures to finalize.

editx2 Now 100% official, offer letter in hand, WOOOFVCKINGHOOO!!!!!

I'll put my congratulations on hold until the signatures are finalized.

I am trying to put my happiness on hold until this point as well, but knowing your getting layed off right before Christmas, and then this, even with the 1% chance that something could go bad, I am still happy as heck!

Ive been trying to get a job recently as well. Ive gotten a few calls from the jobs I want, not full out interviews, just a few extra questions about my resume. I sure hope I said what they wanted to hear, Im kinda new to this kinda thing.

Congrats, op! Best of luck to you.

Is there any way you can go to your job at now (assuming you still work there) and tell them to shove it?
