Just checked on Equifax thru that free offer posted earliar today.
Equifas shows FICO score of 749.

Good thing is all the negative stuff from past years is now gone and only the good and current stuff is now shos on my credit history 🙂. Apparently in Aug those negative entries reached their 7 year limit 🙂. They were all payed off but were reported as late/collection etc. Anyway I learned my lesson since then and managed my credit responsibly. Last negative entry was reported in Aug, 1996 and first in 95. But its all history now 🙂.

nah, I learned my lesson 🙂.

One thing is for sure, I will never apply for CC from Fleet Bank. Those bastages denied my application even when I had over 30k in my checking account with them.

Damn dude that is nasty! I've used MBNA and mrsskoorb recently applied for an MBNA card and I believe they'll approve it, though she has no US credit history. They are going to use her canadian history, and my experiences with mbna have all been positive. No complaints whatsoever.

This is awesome. I am getting ready to buy a house in a next year or so 🙂. By then I will try to payoff half of my student loans and try not to pile-up too much CC debt.

Moral of the story don't mess up and if you do then only time can clean it up.

I hate FICO scores.

Even if you earn six figures, have no debt, but have 10 inactive CC accounts, your score will be lower than a guy earning $30k, with cc debt and only one card.

I just don't get it. It's simply retarded.

A new scoring system needs to be implemented. I'm glad banks are catching on to not being FICO lemmings and making loan decisions based on the WHOLE.

aah, when economy is down the drain and more and more people are defaulting on loans banks will have no choice but to stick to established method. The only reason they got away from FICO scores was because of competition and booming economy.
