Recently watercooled the X1800XL and upped the core voltage to 1.25v and got the core up to 675MHz stable. I dunno whether more voltage is safe so I'll stop there for now. Oh and the GPU is at 40 degrees idle and 48 at full load. VRMs stay under 60 degrees.

I don't know what kind of voltage the memory can take so it's at stock voltage but at 600MHz up from 500MHz stock. It locks up if I try to push past 615MHz.

Got about 4700 3DMarks in 3DMark06.
Here's a screenshot:

Oh and I know, I didn't run the CPU test but I didn't wanna see that slideshow so I just added the CPU score from a prior run which was about 1000 CPU score which gives the 4700 I quoted.

I hope that link works.

Edit: Damnit, what the hell happened to the pic. Does Imagebucket shrink it even more??
If you can't see it, the SM2 score is 1850 and the SM3 score is 1842.

I think you need to find out what the XT cores oltage is and put it at that. if an XT with the same core can handle that then you are quids in safe!!!!

Are you sure about that?? I thought the XLs were cores that couldn't handle the voltage/speed??

thats nice but i got that on air cooling. im sure u can go even more. my ram got 650 ish. pump more volts into it. even 2.0 is safe for ram.

wow way to add scores :disgust:, btw if you did do the CPU test u would've scored 3000~3500.

What? You arent very good at maths are you? His sm2 + 3 numbers alone score 3700 + his cpu score of 1000 = 4700... where do you get 3000-3500 from?

Yeah I could get that on air too but the temps were too high for me. I don't like it going above 70 celcius so I switched to water cooling.

You know what are safe volts for the core?

And in your rig it says x850xt...you are talking about an X1800XL right?

How do you figure that?? Doing the CPU test would LOWER my score below the total of my SM2 and SM3 scores (as Frostwake pointed out)???

first off yes x1800 xl aie to be exact with slower 1.6ns ram.

1.25 was pretyty safe on my vf-700 for u im sure 1.3 and up is safe.

and on air my temps only hit around 60

SM 2.0 1442
SM 3.0 1414
CPU 788

Total score was .... 3182..........Now if you add those three scores, its 3644...and not 3182 which is what my score is http://s41.photobucket.com/albums/e288/...reenshots/?action=view¤t=tes.jpg

Hmm...that's weird...I guess I was wrong. I'll do a proper run later then.

thank you, see, you can't just add scores and say you have what ever, it doesn't work that way in 06 or 05

lol why don't you actually complete the entire test and then post here again. Cause I know there is no chance in hell you can get 4700 in 06 with a x1800XL and a single-core cpu

Like I said in the post above yours, I guess I'm wrong. When I have some time I'll run the full test.

O RLY?

Opteron @ 3GHz + X1800XL @ 675/1300-1400~ FTW!
