I take it you can now go out and shoot people? Er, I mean carry a gun legally?

Probably the only good thing about living in Michigan actually.

Nah...I presume this is about his driver's license being reinstated...sort of. (not that it mattered...he drove without it for several years...)

Did you read the postcard? "Bring in this postcard, along with your current government issued driver's license or state identification."

Besides, county clerks don't issue driver's licenses.

No shit? They gave a CCW to you with your DUI history?

I guess they're not felonies...:|

I had to wait three years after my last one. I was only convicted of first offence... second offense would have been eight years

Nice. I got my conceal license a couple of days ago myself(PA). Took the full 8 weeks.

Yep; in most states, as far as I know, DUI is a misdemeanor. Think it only gets bumped up to felony if someone's hurt, or possibly if there's significant property damage. I could be wrong, though.

doesn't matter in PA if it's a felony or not:

The sheriff has 45 days to conduct an investigation to determine an individual's eligibility to be issued a license. Included in the investigation is a background check conducted on the individual through the Pennsylvania Instant Check System (PICS) to determine if the records indicate the individual is prohibited by law. In accordance with 18 PA C.S. §6109, a sheriff may deny an individual the right to a License to Carry Firearms if there is reason to believe that the character and reputation of the individual are such that they would be likely to act in a manner dangerous to public safety.

Also a certain number within a time period, here 4 in 10 years is a felony.

Most states have language similar to what pontifex posted for PA which a DUI can certainly apply. Driving drunk certainly would be considered acting in a manner dangerous to public safety.

3 in a lifetime or 2 in 5 here. I qualified for both. They could have hit me with 3 felonies if they wanted to.

I was dead honest with the cop and he only charged me with a first offense. Of course that was only after he quit pointing his gun at my face.
