It's supposed to start raining really soon, so I just got OK'd by my boss to leave a couple hours early so I can get a round in before the rain hits. I  my job.

Ah yes, frolf. I've never played it but I had a buddy who had a set of discs, I guess they come in different sizes for different shots.

If anyone is in the Seattle area that plays disc golf, my buddy and I are looking for more people to play with.

I am so glad the weather is warming up and the days are longer. :D

its just like golf clubs.

drivers, mid range discs (irons), putters.

they vary in size, weight, plastic types, stability.

stability being the flight characteristics of the disc.

discs can be understable, stable and overstable.

understable discs will go right easier (turnover) for right hand throwers
overstable discs will go decidedly left for right hand throwers.

You can turn over an overstable disc to get extra distance, but they are harder (they take more snap/power/pop) to turn over than less stable discs.

There's your crash course.

I've played a few times. My roommate works for play-it-again sports so I got two disks (driver, putt-and-approach) for $12. 30% off 4tw.

Must be a regional thing. All the hippies around here call it "disc golf" or just "disc."

yeah i think so.
I've heard that term, but only on the internet, i've never heard anyone actually say it.

Except on The Office.
